Ecological Landscape Architecture

From urban farms and green infrastructure projects to campuses and residences, our team finds elegant solutions to design challenges that strengthen the ecological and social fabric of place. We specialize in designing integrated landscapes that engage communities, manage stormwater, build healthy soils, create pollinator habitat, grow food, and enhance stewardship.

Regenerative Agriculture

We design regenerative agriculture systems that heal degraded landscapes, and contribute to viable farm livelihoods and resilient food systems. Whether it’s design from the ground up, or transitioning an existing enterprise, we help clients integrate practices like restoration agroforestry, carbon farming, productive riparian buffers, and alley cropping. We also assist with farm enterprise planning, stewardship planning, and implementation guidelines.

Nature-Based Solutions

We work with municipalities and individual clients to restore ecosystem health through nature-based solutions. We’ve designed restoration plans for degraded urban streams, severely eroded slopes, agricultural riparian zones, and a former gravel mine. We also assist clients with implementation and stewardship plans to ensure long-term success.

Community Engagement

Designing resilient and dynamic landscapes requires a design process that engages and responds to stakeholders. We work to include diverse perspectives, illuminate design principles, and get people excited about co-creating landscapes they want to live in.
