Developing an agroforestry site framework that integrates nut crops, alley cropping, and meadow systems to support resilient mid-scale food production in the Northeast.

The Dandelion Project is a collaboration between a chef and a farmer working to model mid-scale agroforestry in the Northeast. Their vision is to strengthen regional food system resilience while building community through farm dinners and on-site food sales.
As a new member of the New Hampshire–based Crows Feat Farm Collective, the Dandelion Project needed support translating this vision into a practical site framework that could guide decisions over time. Regenerative Design Group worked with the team to assess site conditions and develop an initial agroforestry layout integrating nut and fruit crops with herbaceous alley crops and meadow systems.
Our work included mapping and site assessment, crop suitability analysis, and the development of schematic layouts to support phased establishment and long-term management of the farm landscape.
