RDG Designs the Landscape for winner of Massachusetts Zero Energy Challenge
The Montague Urban Homestead is a one story, single-family dwelling of 1152 sq.ft. The home eliminates dependence on coal, nuclear, oil, and electricity from biomass and meets the client’s housing and energy needs with as little health and environmental impact as possible. It won the Mass Zero Energy Challenge in 2009. RDG is currently working on a master plan for the site that will meet the far reaching landscape goals of the Living Building Challenge.
