Overview

Regenerative Design Group is seeking a talented communications specialist to join our team on a part to full time basis. The communications specialist leads the development of public-facing educational and outreach materials while also supporting the production of excellent written and graphic materials for proposals, projects, and our portfolio. Their work builds the presence and visibility of RDG in relevant public and professional spheres by:

  • Ensuring consistency of voice, message, and quality across a variety of written and graphic materials including reports, website, blog, social media, project proposals, and mailings
  • Shaping and supporting a consistent graphic style across all channels and all uses
  • Collaborating with RDG team members and consultants on the production of written and graphic content for projects and initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of proposals, including workflows, narrative, supporting graphics, and submission
  • Work closely with marketing + communications staff and Managing Director to develop and execute communications strategy and plans
  • Collaborate with RDG team members to produce announcements and informational pieces on:
    • Social media (RDG minimally maintains accounts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
    • Newsletter/network announcements
    • Trade publications
    • General press
  • Produce and maintain general marketing materials:
    • Cut sheets and feature projects
    • Website copy and graphics
    • Blog and social media postings
    • Team resumes
    • Slide decks and presentations
  • Support production of materials for projects + clients:
    • Graphics production and document layout
    • Production and coordination of project features, articles, etc., with other RDG staff
    • Craft slide decks and presentation scripts for projects and/or special topics in collaboration with relevant RDG team members
  • Seek opportunities to increase RDG’s reach:
    • Media research to uncover editorial opportunities, and outreach to trade press to encourage coverage
    • Trade show and media event support, on-site and remotely, including developing press materials; researching and coordinating paid media opportunities; and pitching, scheduling and coordinating media interviews
  • Track and report progress and results on all communications campaigns and assigned projects

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of professional experience
  • Ability to work in-person or hybrid from Greenfield, Massachusetts
  • Excellent writing skills to provide consistency of voice and clarity of message across all channels of communication
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan ahead to attend to needs and deadlines on both client facing and internal projects
  • Self-motivated to find solutions to reach goals of RDG, its collaborators, and clients
  • Consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently when needed and manage your time well
  • Capable interviewer of staff, collaborators, and others
  • Manage multiple tasks/projects at one time
  • Understand current social media platforms and guidelines
  • Work effectively as part of a team and individually
  • Anticipate client and project team-member needs
  • Strong and flexible design sense for document layout, color palettes, and graphic design
  • Quickly learn new processes and software unique to RDG, its project teams, and clients
  • Ability and desire to contribute to an office culture centered on respect, compassion, humor, lifelong learning, social + environmental equity and health, and collaboration

Benefits & Compensation

  • Starting $21.50 to $25.75 ($43,000 to 51,500 Annual FTE), commensurate with experience, with annual raises and performance reviews given
  • Flexible hours + remote work arrangements
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Our policy accrues PTO time at one (1) hour of PTO for every twenty-five (25) hours worked; roughly equivalent to 2-weeks/year for full-time employees
